An overachieving, underappreciated high school kid earns acceptance and the girl of his dreams when he dons a maroon tuxedo and heads to the prom in the romantic, coming-of-age story of Angus. Gravitationally challenged teen Angus Bethune (Charlie Talbot) is a standout defensive lineman on the football team, but he can't compete with blonde, good-looking quarterback Rick Sanford (James Van Der Beek--"Dawson's Creek"). But when Angus' free-spirited mom (Academy Award winner Kathy Bates) encourages him to go to the prom, everything in life changes in this sweet and piercing romantic comedy.
